Customer Success Manager, Slack
Sam is currently a Customer Success Manager at Slack. She moved to the Bay from D.C. where she did Federal Consulting with Accenture for 3 years. Besides running, Sam loves hiking, yoga, spending as much time outdoors as possible, and finding the best pizza in the city. She first heard about Back on My Feet through her experience with a similar organization (Mile in My Shoes) based in Minneapolis. Through early morning runs and team races Sam was inspired to get involved with BoMF in SF.
Well-Being Specialist, Google
MJ moved to SF in 2013 to start a job at Google working in Corporate Wellness. Life before SF included boxing at Notre Dame (Go Irish!), living in Ireland, and running with Back on my Feet in Philadelphia. In her free time, MJ enjoys trying the best ice cream San Francisco has to offer, visiting her family in NJ, and playing soccer. MJ’s favorite Back on My Feet memory (so far!) was celebrating the chapter’s 1st birthday with current members and volunteers, alumni, and all of the other great people who are apart of BoMF SF!
Business Manager, The Riddler & Magnum PR
Originally from central Illinois, Kelsey worked at Galt & Company and Salesforce before landing her current job as business manager of two local companies: The Riddler and Magnum PR. San Francisco has been Kelsey's home for over 3.5 years, and she's spent over 2 of those years on the Associate Board of Back on My Feet helping to get the chapter up and running. She originally heard of Back on My Feet through her Chicago marathon and triathlon communities and is excited to continue to see San Francisco Back On My Feet's impact to both members and volunteers.
Product Marketing, Stripe
Griffin is from Portland, Oregon and started running with Back on My Feet in 2017. As an avid marathon runner and volunteer, Griffin naturally aligned with Back on My Feet's mission and was eager to get involved after moving to the Bay Area. He loves to cook, play the viola, travel, and works in marketing at Stripe.
Head of Account Management, Fastly
Emily grew up on the NJ coast, enjoying a mix of boardwalk runs and NJ’s famed Holmdel Park. She attended and ran at Villanova before (unknowingly) starting her slow move across the country. Stopping for a few years in Atlanta and Denver, she now calls San Francisco home and enjoys being back to seeing open water on a daily basis. She’s a big fan of chocolate, pandas, and planning surprise parties.
Co-Founder, Clymb Health
Shannon grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan (go blue!) and moved to San Francisco four years ago by way of Philadelphia. It was in Philly, through her work at Accenture, that she was first introduced to Back on My Feet. A big believer in the transformative power of running, she was thrilled to help launch the BoMF community in SF. She is currently completing her MBA at U.C. Berkeley and founded a digital health company. When not at school or work she can be found running on the beautiful Bay Area trails, sampling craft brews and experimenting with homemade ice cream recipes.
Well Being Strategist, Cigna
Madeline first heard about Back on My Feet while living in Philadelphia and in search of a non-profit for “fundracing”. When graduate school took her to Washington, DC, she started running with BoMF and found the community outreach opportunity the perfect complement to her Public Health studies. It was serendipitous that she moved to San Francisco in Fall 2016, just as BoMF San Francisco was chartered. She has enjoyed running with both Team Tenderloin and Team SoMA and completed her first marathon in 2017 fundracing for BoMF SF!
Madeline works for Cigna in corporate wellness and teaches fitness classes at Basecamp San Francisco. She is an avid triathlete, and when she is not swimming, biking, or running through the bay area, she is dreaming up her next travel adventure.
Associate, Brooklands Capital Strategies
Clayton has been involved with Back On My Feet since 2012, first as a volunteer runner in Philadelphia, and later as a member of the Associate Board for the New York City and San Francisco Chapters. While not exactly the most accomplished runner, Clayton does enjoy being healthy and active, and is especially passionate about finding long-term solutions for the mental health-related issues that often accompany homelessness. Professionally, Clayton is an Associate at Brooklands Capital Strategies, a boutique capital advisory firm that helps alternative investment managers and innovative companies raise strategic capital from investors all over the world. He received a Bachelor’s of Science, summa cum laude, in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Chinese Language and Civilization. Growth & Marketing, Front Row Education
Michelle works in Growth & Marketing at Front Row Education, an EdTech start-up. Prior to that, she was at Bain & Company, where she first learned about Back on My Feet from a colleague. When she heard Back on My Feet was launching a San Francisco chapter, she was excited for a chance to get involved! Originally from Chicago and recently relocated from Boston, she'll miss the snow but is excited to experience her first winter being able to run outside.
Business Operations, Square
Linda grew up in Michigan (AKA America’s high five) and moved out to the West Coast after college. She started running with BoMF in 2017 and has loved every part of the experience - even the early morning wake ups. Besides running, Linda can be found planning the next stamp on her passport, searching for the city’s best cheeseburger, and going to embarrassing concerts. She currently works in Business Operations at Square, but previous lives have included stints at Bain & Co. and Nike (you can always identify her at runs as the one clad head-to-toe in Nike gear).
Global Process Manager, Google
Originally from Philadelphia, Gerard moved to SF for a new job in Finance at Google. Before arriving on the West Coast, he lived life on the road as a management consultant. An explorer at heart, he has a personal goal to hike all of the National Parks - and he’s making progress! While he certainly misses cheesesteaks and Eagles football, he’s loving the endless opportunities for adventure in the Bay Area. Gerard first heard about Back on my Feet through his sister, who ran with the group in Philly, and he’s excited to help the SF chapter grow and continues to be inspired by all those involved.
Product Manager, Airbnb
Michelle is very excited to join the San Francisco chapter of Back on My Feet. Soon after overhearing a BoMF member tell his story while running the Baltimore Marathon in 2010, Michelle started volunteering with the Washington DC chapter. Michelle moved to San Francisco in 2014 where she has continued her love for running (despite the hills!) and enjoying all the Bay Area has to offer.

Heather grew up in Los Altos, California, and, after ten years in New York, moved back to the Bay Area two years ago. Heather got into triathlon five years ago and has found it an important source of empowerment in her life; she finds running and triathlon meditative, bringing clarity and stress relief, as well as a great way to meet new people. For this reason, Heather is thrilled to be a part of an organization that empowers people through running. Heather is training to participate in her first Ironman in 2018 and will be fundracing for Back on My Feet!
